Hello- I am proud to say that
I believe myself to be one of the most versatile artists around.... I use my experience in the "industry"
- from both sides- to my advantage; from my knowledge and comfort of working with people of ALL ages, to my life as a performer,
to my life as a Personal Assistant to one of the TOP celebrities of our time . I understand and respect the requirements
of all the "players" for an event to work well, enjoyably and professionally. This is the answer to the -"Why
Hire Karina over other artists?" question. I have enjoyed creating art
since I was a lil' girl and am grateful for a long lineage of artisans. With my art degree from CSUN, I have kept
up with my interest of art in many different ways. After my 3 children, and my 2 nieces, I decided to use Face Painting
and Body Artisrty as a way to combine all the things I enjoy and need in my life. I do not use a "book", I
encourage the use of everyone's imagination... and to push my own creativity. When I am asked ...."Whatchu
got?" I answer ...."I got your imagination.... whatchu got?" everyone laughs! How do people respond to my painting them? The children become very relaxed. The parents are often amazed at
how well they sit and so quietly :) When we are done....they are often so surprised by the results that they take a minute
or two to soak it in.... then they are walking (or running) around showing it off! Most of the time the adults figure that it is just for "the kids" until they see the
kind of painting that I do. Then they jump in line --- Make sure to leave time for the young at heart!!! To be truthful,
they are the ones most disappointed when I leave...why? because it took them so long to finally give themselves permission
;) This is not just something I do... it is who I am.
